Encore Entertainment

The Cast and Crew for Nunsense

  Malorie Mandolidis (Sister Mary Regina)

When Encore Entertainment was in its infancy, Malorie appeared in its very first production, Love and Other Stresses. She’s very happy to finally be back! Over the past ten years, Malorie has performed regularly at the Scarborough Village Theatre in such varied roles as Lucille in The Cemetery Club, M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias, Mona in Come Back to the Five & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean and Evy in The Gingerbread Lady, to name a few. No stranger to musicals, she was featured in Godspell, Company, and most recently, a very successful run as Mrs. Lovett in Sweeney Todd. Portraying Mother Superior, Malorie is thrilled to once again don the habit and "resurrect," no disrespect intended, one of her favourites characters. A special thank you to her children, Melissa and Michael, for their constant love and support, as she continues to pursue her passion for live theatre.
  Bonnie Gold (Sister Mary Hubert)

Bonnie is delighted to be working for the first time with Encore Entertainment in Nunsense. Over the last eight years, Bonnie has performed in such wonderful musicals as Gypsy (Mama Rose), Once Upon A Mattress (Queen Aggravain), and 42nd Street (Maggie Jones). Most recently she originated a new characterization of the Wicked Witch of the West in a brand new musical version of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Bonnie has studied singing, acting and improvisation with some of the most respected teachers in North America, such as Allan Guttman and Uta Hagen.

Having also recently appeared in Jake's Women, Lend Me A Tenor, and a new Canadian comedy Life Lands Down, Lada is very excited to be doing a musical again!! Many thanks to Carol for helping Lada rediscover her voice, and much love - as always - to Mom, Dad and Kieren.
